How does a vacuum slow down heat transfer?
By removing air molecules, we eliminate conduction and convection. In a vacuum, there are far fewer molecules to transfer kinetic energy, making heat flow significantly slower.
Can VIPs be cut or punctured during installation?
No. The high barrier film must remain intact. If punctured, air flows in and thermal conductivity rises to 0.020 W/mK. Panels must be ordered to size.
What are the temperature limits for VIPs?
While the core can sustain 900°C, the outer plastic film is rated for up to 80°C. For long-term performance, temperatures should be kept below 40°C-50°C.
Are vacuum panels sensitive to humidity?
Short-term exposure is fine, but long-term high humidity (especially with heat) should be avoided. It is recommended to install humidity barriers.
What is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?
Our standard MOQ for vacuum insulation panels is 500 square meters.
Can you produce curved or complex shapes?
Thin panels can be bent into cylindrical forms. Complex 2D curvatures are difficult, but new technologies allow for panels with holes or specific shapes upon request.
