🔍 Product Description

Vacuum Insulated panel VIPs for construction

VIPs are thin pieces of insulation that are uniquely designed to take up very little space. They are built with layers of porous core materials encased in a gas-tight foil outer material. Once this envelope is sealed, outside gases won't be able to enter the panel and the vacuum will create thermal resistance that is up to 20x more effective than traditional insulation.

✨ Key Features & Benefits

VIP insulation offers many benefits to the designer and specifier. In new build projects it can enable a level or minimal threshold whilst still maintaining U-values. In renovation projects, upgrading the insulation value of flat roofs and terraces can be achieved without the high cost of adapting windows, doors and rooflights.

Typical Lambda values comparison:
• Fibreglass: 0.040 W/mK
• EPS: 0.038 W/mK
• PIR: 0.022 W/mK
VIP: 0.006 W/mK (core only)

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
How does a vacuum slow down heat transfer?
By removing air molecules, we eliminate conduction and convection. In a vacuum, there are far fewer molecules to transfer kinetic energy or carry heat via currents, leaving only radiation as a minor transfer mode.
Can VIP panels be cut or punctured on site?
No. The high barrier film must remain intact. If punctured, air enters and thermal conductivity increases significantly. They must be manufactured to size and cannot be drilled with dowels.
What is the maximum operating temperature?
The core can sustain 900°C, but the outer plastic barrier film is rated for up to 80°C. For long-term durability, temperatures should ideally be maintained below 40-50°C.
Are these panels sensitive to humidity?
Short-term exposure is fine, but long-term high humidity (especially with heat) should be avoided. Installing humidity barriers is recommended to keep the panels dry.
What is your Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?
Our standard MOQ is 500 square meters. We support small clients growing, but suggest container loads for better cost-efficiency in shipping.
How do you ensure quality control?
We employ a multi-stage check: raw material inspection, machine testing before mass production, and in-line QC checks for thickness, length, width, and weight.
